Up for sale is a gorgeous and near-new Rock Island box car with a clean and solid reproduction box. This box car has the New 5-53 printed date on each side -- indicating it's from the early production run in 1953 or 1954. The exterior colors are pristine, the side lettering is perfect and the base and trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the body nor frame. Overall, a very low-mileage freight car that would look great on a layout or in a display case. Also included with this freight car is a beautiful and solid reproduction box as well as its original factory inspection tag!
