Up for sale is a gorgeous, all-original Rock Island box car from the first production run of this freight car in 1953 and 1954. This freight car has the New 5-53 date printed on each side -- while the 1969 variation does not have the date. The exterior colors are pristine, the side lettering is perfect and the base and trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the body nor frame.
