Now available for sale is a lot of five original prewar # 270 Truss Bridges. Each of the bridges are complete, free of rust and oxidation but there are minor surface paint nicks and flakes on the exterior plus a few have extra holes drilled into the cross member used to secure the track to a layout table. These bridges were designed for a single piece of O gauge tubular track to fit directly on top of each of the three base support brackets, there is no need to elevate the track as it approaches the bridge.

Regarding it's condition, all metal sections are straight plus the support cross members are solid and ready for a section of straight track. Finally, this truss bridge lot has the following features:

  • All five bridges are painted True Red on the exterior
  • Conditions range from 6 to 6+ with only one, maybe two in condition 6+
  • The Lionel lettering consists of the following:
    • Three bridges have the nickel plate variation, which has an estimated production era of 1935 & 1936
    • Two bridges have the yellow decal on the sides. These are assumed to have been manufactured for only a single year: 1942
