Now available for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, all-original 224 steam locomotive boiler and front steam chest / cowcatcher from 1946. The boiler shell is closer to condition 8 as the paint is vibrant, there are no scratches, chips nor nicks, both front jewel marker lights are still attached and the side numberboards are exceptionally clean. Lastly, the boiler shell includes all of the following add-on items: the front plastic headlight lens, both side metal hand railings, all original cotter pins holding the railing to the shell plus a slightly tarnished 700E-233 simulated bell.
The steam chest / cowcatcher is in great condition too -- but unfortunately is missing one of the small side steps on the lower side of the cowcatcher.
