Now available for sale are a few prewar 1666 steam locomotive components -- which can be used with some of the early postwar 1666's:

  • 224E-3 Steam Chest & Front Cowcatcher - this is a complete, undamaged pilot and cowcatcher. It will need a bath, but there are no nicks, chips nor stress cracks on the part. Additionally, the front steps are straight and no bent nor damaged from any accidents. Will easily clean up to condition 7.
  • 1666 Gray shell - This is a prewar shell painted gray. Below is a summary of the shell:
    • Includes both side handrails along with all six cotter pins to secure the hand rail to the boiler
    • Both front marker lights are present, not damaged nor repaired, but is missing one green jewel
    • Both 238-3 Crosshead Guides
    • Both 1666E-15 Valve Gear screws -- which are still screwed into the shell
    • There is a small ding on the rear cab from an accident
    • Includes both side number boards
    • Missing the top bell
    • Overall condition is 6 to 6+
  • 1666 Black shell - This is either a prewar shell or early postwar
    • Missing both side hand railings, but has five of the six cotter pins shill in the shell
    • Both front marker lights are present, not damaged nor repaired and both green jewels are present
    • Includes a 700E-233 simulated bell
    • Includes both side number boards
    • Overall condition is 6+
