Here's the first production run of the popular 6464-275 State of Maine box car from the mid-1950's. This colorful freight car is clean, complete and undamaged plus the frame, trucks and door guides are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Externally, the freight car has vibrant colors along with crisp and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, the box car has Type IIA body, white body mold and a pair of red unpainted sliding doors on each side. The body is free of nicks, chips and cracks and only has the faintest signs of handling on the exterior. Otherwise, the freight car looks great and will be a nice and colorful addition to anyones collection.
Also included with this freight car is its original Middle Classic box. As seen in the photos above, the box is in horrible condition as all flaps are missing at each end and it's nothing more than an original sleeve for the freight car at this point in time.
