Now available for sale is a beautiful observation car from the one-year-only brown tinplate passenger cars manufactured in early 1949. This passenger car correct staple-end trucks with a single magnetic coupler. The color is vibrant while the side lettering is clean, crisp and complete plus the roof matches the sides and is equally clean with vibrant paint. Externally, there are some minor surface marks from usage, but nothing is nicked, chipped nor dented and all components are free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, the bottom of the car as well as the trucks and couplers are complete, functional and as clean as the sides and roof. Finally, the interior light work properly and has been rewired.
In addition to a clean observation car, its original Early Classic / Three Cities box is also included. The box is clean and free of puncture holes, a bit soft and has some minor discoloration on the exterior. Additionally, the box includes both end and tuck flaps, three of the four inner flaps and one of the two coupler flaps. Lastly, there is clear tape on the interior of most flaps securing them to their original box.
Please note: like most tinplate passenger cars from this era, the interior plastic window strips have deteriorated and are no longer in the windows.
