Now available for sale is a gorgeous, one-year-only set of the brown tinplate passenger cars produced in 1949. Each passenger car has the correct magnetic couplers mounted onto staple-end trucks as well as gorgeous exterior colors along with clean, crisp and complete side lettering that is not faded nor worn. The roofs match the sides and are equally clean with vibrant paint. Lastly, the bottom of each car as well as the trucks and couplers are all complete, functional and free of rust and oxidation although one of the pullman cars has a couple of minor scratches on the base as seen in one of the photos above. Finally, all interior lights work properly and each has been rewired.
Additionally, each passenger car has its original Early Classic / Three Cities box. All boxes are clean, solid and free of puncture holes, staining and discoloration. The boxes do include both end and tuck flaps, all inner flaps and each box has one of the two coupler flaps still attached. Lastly, there is clear tape on the interior of multiple flaps securing them to their original box.
Please note: like most tinplate passenger cars from this era, the interior plastic window strips have deteriorated and are no longer in the windows.
