Here's a beautiful, all-original Chesapeake & Ohio diesel switcher and original box from 1952. This locomotive has been fully cleaned, serviced, tested and runs like a champ. This particular diesel is the harder-to-find ten stanchion version and it has vibrant exterior colors along with near-perfect side graphics and lettering and the only blemish is a light surface mark on top of the cab. Lastly, all functionality works as designed by Lionel plus the frame, trucks and couplers are clean and free of rust and oxidation.
Also included with this C & O diesel is its original box, insert and instructions. The OPS Stamped box is in poor condition as there is tape on one end flap and a portion of the exterior but is does include a nice and solid original insert -- which is missing one coupler flap. Lastly, the original instructions are clean, complete and correctly dated 1952.
