Up for sale is a nice and clean red caboose from the 1963 era that was included in several entry level sets in the mid-1960's. Externally, there are no graphics nor number and has simply become known to collectors as the red SP-style caboose.
This particular caboose is complete, free of nicks, chips and cracks plus both trucks are complete. It includes one functional coupler plus both of the roof ends are complete and do not have the traditional stress cracks frequently found on this caboose. Additionally, the sides and ends are in nice condition, probably closer to condition 7 or 7+.
However, the roof has some type of overspray remnants -- possibly from spray snow commonly used under a Christmas year from years ago. Also, the base has signs of aging / oxidation just beginning. Even with these apologies, the caboose has vibrant exterior colors and would look fine on any layout. Below is a summary of the caboose and its manufacturing features:
