Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original Lionel 264 Operating Fork Lift Platform complete with a stunning original box, the very scarce original box insert, full components envelope, original instruction sheets and 6264 Flatcar with lumber. All components are at least in condition 7++ with many graded at an 8!
The platform surface is near flawless with barely any signs of usage and only minor signs of aging. All plastic parts are clean and show almost no evidence of use. The small simulated fork lift has clean plastic and metal parts plus the original forklift driver is included with the accessory -- which is quite rare today.
The flatcar with lumber load looks fantastic (easily graded an 8!) with vibrant colors and clean, crisp side lettering. All lumber sections appears to be original postwar components as the dimensions of the lumber are an exact match to original lumber. Additionally, the side metal stakes are all original, clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, the operating couplers work perfectly and the trucks are also free of rust and oxidation.
The original box is solid as a brick and graded an 8+ if not a 9! It is solid, clean, firm and complete with all interior and exterior flaps. There are no tears, scrapes, or scratches on the box and the accessory even includes a solid, complete and rare original insert. The instructions sheets are also clean and correct for the 264 plus the accessory includes the frequently missing sheet labeled 'IMPORTANT" and numbered 1733 which instructs how to correctly position the side stakes on the flatcar.
