Up for sale is a nice and clean, original gray barrel car that has been cleaned, serviced, tested and works great. The exterior color is vibrant and the side lettering is complete and not faded nor worn. Included with this operating freight car are only few of the original extras as sold by Lionel almost 70 years ago. Included with the freight car are a set of six original postwar barrels, original long # 160 dump bin (complete and undamaged) plus original instructions dated 1954. If you're looking to add a barrel car to your freight train, this could be a great option for you. The only blemish is a tiny, hairline crack by the screwhole (see photo 6 above).
Lastly, the original box is solid, has both end flaps, only one tuck flap and all four interior flaps. Unfortunately the original insert is missing.
