Now available for sale is a somewhat unusual or rare President Harrison Gold Stripe pullman passenger car. The oddity -- or more probably factory error -- of this passenger car are the following:
- The Harrison lettering is always associated with the vista-dome style passenger car -- not the pullman body style. This pullman passenger car side decals / stripes are 100% original and complete Harrison decals. Additionally, the side stripes have not been altered after the car was manufactured.
- Additionally, the interior window silhouettes on this car are labelled 2522 -- which correspond to the Harrison lettering. Generally the Gold Stripe pullman passenger car will carry the 2523 number, but this passenger car has silhouettes matching the Harrison lettering.
This passenger car has been cleaned, tested and all couplers work properly as do all interior lights. Additionally, the base and trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation plus there are no dings nor dents on the exterior. Overall, a truly unusual and unique passenger car manufactured by Lionel in the early to mid-1960's.
