Now available for sale is an extremely clean, all-original set of 2363 Illinois Central F3 AB diesels from the mid-1950's along with their original boxes. These diesels have vibrant exterior colors along with crisp and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, the shells are complete, not damaged nor cracked and the front decal is in decent condition.
The power unit has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. The e-unit cycles correctly, the horn is functional, the interior light does illuminate and both sets of magne-traction trucks are clean and complete. Additionally, the interior of each diesel is as clean as the exterior. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on either locomotive. Finally, each unit has its original box and instructions with the details below:
- The power unit box is solid, free of staining and has all interior and exterior flaps and graded at an 8 to 8+.
- The trailer unit box, however, has not held up as well, as there is tape on the interior of several flaps, there are small and minor tears and a couple inner flaps are missing. The reproduction insert is clean, complete and solid. The trailer unit box is still respectable, displays nicely and graded at a 6 to 6+.
- The original instructions are clean, complete and dated July 1955.
