Up for sale is a gorgeous New York Central F3 B unit diesel from the early 1950's. This B unit is the early production version with cloth roof louvers mounted to the top roof. Externally, the paint and colors look new, the side lettering, graphics and stripes are crisp and complete and there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the diesel. Lastly, all four metal corner steps are present, the trucks are complete and in great condition plus there is no rust nor oxidation on the unit.
Also included with this New York Central B unit is its original box. The box is solid, free of writing and stains, but there is clear tape on the interior of several flaps. Additionally one end tuck flap is missing and one interior flap is missing. Lastly, an original postwar insert is included with the diesel.
