Now available for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, all-original set of New York Centrals F3 AA diesels from 1953. These prototypical looking units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. Externally, the paint is vibrant, the side lettering and stripes are clean and crisp plus the front decals are clean and complete. Internally, the locomotives are as clean as the exterior. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation plus the diesels include original front number boards and original side porthole lens.
Regarding the boxes, the power unit box is clean, solid and includes a nice insert with only one of the small tuck flaps missing on one end of the insert. The trailer unit box is missing all flaps on each end, but does include the original insert -- which is also missing one tuck flap on one end. Lastly, the original instructions are dated 1953.
