Now available for sale is a the one-year-only green GG-1 from 1950. This GG-1 was Lionel's first GG-1 with both magnetraction and dual motors and is fairly difficult to locate these days in collector condition. This particular electric locomotive has beautiful exterior colors, nice end decals, clean and good side stripes -- with less than average wear in the center section due to handling. The locomotive has been fully cleaned, serviced, tested and operates just as designed by Lionel 70+ years ago. Lastly, the GG-1 is free of rust and oxidation.
Also included with this 2340 GG-1 is a complete and solid original box, insert, wrapping paper and instructions! Both the box and insert have all flaps, both are free of writing and stains and definitely complement the beautiful locomotive. The original instructions do have some wear on the front, but still in decent condition. Lastly, the original wrapping paper is a bit worn from usage, but is the correct early variation without the background stripes.
