Now available for sale is a nice and clean entry level steam locomotive and non-whistling tender from the early 1960's. These entry level scout locomotives are usually located in well used condition and locating a complete and functional scout engines is difficult.
For this steamer and tender combination, the locomotive is the slightly harder-to-find 0-4-0 wheel arrangement variation plus it has been tested and works perfectly. The two position e-unit cycles properly, the front headlight does illuminate and the steamer runs smoothly in both forward and reverse. Additionally, there is nothing broken nor damaged on the locomotive shell. The tender too is in decent condition, but as seen in the 7th photo above, there is a 2" hairline crack in the tender shell -- which cannot be seen from 12" away. Lastly, there is some light oxidation beginning on several of the metal components.
