Product Overview
Condition: NOS Original Box: 10 Year: 1978
Up for sale is a gorgeous New Old Stock Peabody quad hopper from 1978 -- which was sold as part of the 1978 Milwaukee Road Limited freight set. This freight car has never been used and truly in brand-new condition. The external colors are spotless, the side graphics and lettering are pristine plus the base, trucks and couplers are new with no signs of usage, rust nor oxidation. Lastly, Lionel included their premium die-cast O-gauge sprung metal trucks on each end of the hopper.
Also included with the quad hopper is a complete and solid original box with all internal and external flaps still present and a complete, undamaged front cellophane panel. Interestingly, many (possibly most) of these original boxes did not include any stock number on the end flaps.
