Up for sale is the somewhat hard-to-find Milwaukee Road F3 B unit diesel. This center unit diesel never appeared in any Lionel catalogue or flyer and was only available as part of the 1975 Lionel Service Station Set that was available to dealers.
This particular unit has a prototypical and attractive external paint scheme and is brand new, never used and truly New Old Stock inventory from 1975. Externally, the B unit has pristine colors with vibrant side lettering and graphics. Internally, the frame and trucks are as clean as the exterior and free or rust and oxidation. Also included with the diesel are all original paperwork items including:
- Clean and complete original warranty card.
- Lionel Service Station Listing.
- An original box that is as solid as a brick, includes all internal and external flaps plus a complete syrofoam insert.
