Now available for sale is a beautiful, early MPC Illinois Central GP-7 diesel. This uncatalogued road switcher was manufactured for two years and is somewhat hard to locate these days. Externally, this diesel is pristine as the colors are vibrant and the side lettering and graphics are in perfect condition. Internally, the frame, motor and trucks are as clean as the exterior. The motor has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and it runs like a champ. Lastly, the lights work properly and the couplers are fully functional.
Also included with the diesel are clean and complete original instructions as well as an original MPC era warranty card and a Lionel Service Station Listing for 1971 & 1972. Lastly, the original box is as solid as a brick, includes all internal and external flaps but is missing the front perforated panel.
