Up for sale is a New Old Stock # 773 Semi-scale Hudson w/ 2426W Lionel Lines whistling tender!
Here's a truly rare postwar steamer & tender: a brand new, never used and all-original Lionel semi-scale Hudson with the 2426W Lionel Lines whistling tender. This particular steam locomotive and tender combination show no signs of usage and the wheels on both units are new and have no indication of having ever been run on a track. The exterior colors are pristine, the side lettering is vibrant, crisp and clean and there are no signs of rust nor oxidation on the base, wheels, trucks, couplers nor body. Truly a brand new, unused locomotive and tender that has no signs of damage, dents nor dings on either unit.
Note: Neither the steamer and tender have been serviced nor tested. For the true Lionel purist, both units still have their original grease and oil from 1950 within the motor and whistle chamber. This is called out because the locomotive motor is extremely sluggish due to the harden grease and the tender whistle needs oil to sound perfect. If interested, a full service can be done on both units for no additional charge prior to shipping.
