Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original 746 Norfolk & Western Class J Northern style steam locomotive and whistling tender. Both the steamer and tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly including the three position e-unit, smoke unit, illuminated headlight and whistle. Additionally, the steam locomotive's front pilot is in perfect condition and free of nicks and paint chips commonly seen on the pilot when used on a layout. Both units free of rust and oxidation, the external colors are vibrant and the side lettering is crisp and complete. The only minor apology is the rounded boiler front on the steamer has the typical paint flaking commonly found on the 746 N & W steam locomotive.
Also included are original boxes for each item. The tender box is complete with all interior and exterior flaps including both coupler flaps -- although there is clear tape on the interior of a few flaps. The steam locomotive box is missing one end flap and has a couple of minor puncture holes on one side -- otherwise it's still a decent looking original box.
