Up for sale is a stunning, near-new and all-original 736 Berkshire with a 736W Pennsylvania whistling tender. This locomotive and tender have gorgeous exterior colors with clean and complete side lettering and graphics. Each unit has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality works properly including the e-unit, the smoke unit, the headlight is functional plus the tender whistle is loud. Additionally, the trucks, frame and wheels are clean and free of rust and oxidation and the tender has an original postwar shell that is complete with both rear corner steps and free of cracks and damage. Other than some wheel wear, there's barely a mark on either the Berkshire or tender!
Also included with this set are beautiful original boxes for each component. Both boxes are solid, complete with all interior and exterior flaps plus the front perforated panel is present and largely attached to each box! Internally, there is no tape nor repairs to either box. Lastly, original instructions (dated 1960) are included as are original smoke pellets and a partially used tube of lubricant. Overall, an absolutely gorgeous Berkshire, tender, boxes and more!
