Now available for sale is an impressive and gorgeous 726 Berkshire with a 2426W Lionel Lines whistling tender from the first year of postwar production. Both the locomotive and tender have vibrant exterior colors with clean, crisp and complete side lettering and graphics. The steamer is flawless (easily in condition 8!) and the tender only has a handful of very minor surface paint flakes from handling and/or usage. Each unit has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality works properly including the e-unit, the smoke unit, the headlight is functional, the tender whistle is loud. This steamer is the 1946 variation with the smoke bulb and not the smoke element within the smokestack. Lastly, the trucks, frame and wheels are clean and free of rust and oxidation and the tender has an original postwar shell that is complete with all corner steps. Overall, an absolutely gorgeous Berkshire steam and whistling tender that runs like a champ!
