Up for sale is the first variation of the postwar turbine to include magnetraction: the 1950 turbine with the popular 12-wheel 2671WX tender. Both the turbine and whistling tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout. The exterior paint on each unit is clean while the side lettering is crisp and complete. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on either item and all functionality operates properly such as the headlight, magnetraction, e-unit, smoke unit and whistle.
However, there are four blemishes on this set:
- Minor paint rub marks on the die-cast turbine shell.
- Hairline crack in the rear of the tender shell running from the screwhole to the top of the rear shell.
- Small chip by the rear screwhole.
- Rear (internal) support bracket for the rear screwhole is missing -- which is why there is no screw in that screwhole.
