Up for sale is the sale is the final year of production for the postwar 681 turbine -- 1953 -- which included the one-year-only 2046-50W Pennsylvania whistling tender. Both the turbine locomotive and whistling tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality works as designed by Lionel. The exterior paint on each unit is clean while the side lettering and graphics are crisp and complete. However, the only apologies on the unit are a missing rear step on the back of the tender and the top of the turbine has a bunch of surface nicks and marks from age and/or usage. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on either item and all functionality operates properly including the headlight, magnetraction, e-unit, smoke unit and whistle. Overall, a nice and clean operator grade locomotive.
