Now available for sale is the final year of production for the postwar 681 turbine -- 1953 -- which included the one-year-only 2046-50W Pennsylvania whistling tender. Both the turbine and whistling tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality works as designed by Lionel. The exterior paint on each unit is clean while the side lettering and graphics are complete but there are a handful of small surface nicks and marks from 70+ years of hauling freight on the Lionel railroad. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on either item and all functionality operates properly including the headlight, magnetraction, e-unit, smoke unit and whistle. Overall, a nice and clean operator grade locomotive.
