Here's an absolutely beautiful 675 steam locomotive with the 2466WX whistling tender. This first year variation of the 675 steam locomotive is the hardest of all 675's to locate as it has the following production characteristics; aluminum stack, printed 675 on the boiler, no simulated coupler on the cowcatcher plus a 2466WX tender -- all being 1947 options but changed for 1948 and future production dates.
Each of these units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and look stunning plus they run like a champ! The exterior colors are vibrant the side lettering and numbers are complete and the tender shell is an original postwar shell. There is no damage to either item, the steamer drive rods are nice and clean and best of all the original boiler front is complete and not damaged. Lastly, there is no rust on either unit. Overall, a beautiful steamer and tender combination from Lionel's the first year of production for the 675 K-4 Pacific steamer.
