Now available for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, all-original 665 Hudson steam locomotive with a 2046W whistling tender. Both the steamer and tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly including the front headlight, the e-unit cycles properly, the whistle is loud and strong plus the smoke unit puffs like a chimney! The exterior colors are vibrant, the side lettering is crisp and clean-- plus both units are free of rust and oxidation.
Also included with the steamer and tender are many original extras, including:
- Original instructions dated February 1956.
- Original wrapping paper for the steamer -- and the correct variation with the light stripes embedded into the design.
- Original smoke pellets & bottle -- which is about 2/3 full.
- Original wooden smoke pellet tamper.
- The steamer box is nice and solid, includes all interior and exterior flaps plus there is no tape on the box. Condition of the steamer box is easily an 8+ to a 9.
- The original tender box is in nice condition, but has some flaws including: tape reside along the seam, missing a couple interior flaps, but both end, tuck and coupler flaps are present. Condition of the tender box is a 6+ to a 7.
