Now available for sale is a New Old Stock # 6572 Railway Express Agency Refrigerator car from the late 1950's!
This refrigerator car is a brand new, unsold item that reportedly was purchased from Madison Hardware dating back to the early 1990's when their inventory was moved from New York City to Michigan. Unfortunately, there is no paperwork supporting this history.
This particular freight car is the harder-to-find, early production, darker green variation from the late 1950's with bar-end trucks and has never been on the track as all wheels are truly unrun. The exterior colors are pristine, the side lettering is perfect and the base and trucks are complete and in new condition. Even the Late Classic box compliments the condition of the freight car as it has all internal and external flaps, but there is clear tape on several flaps on one end.
