Now available for sale is a clean Bucyrus Erie crane car from 1955. This red crane car has been thoroughly cleaned and tested and all functionality works as designed by Lionel. The exterior colors are clean, the side lettering and graphics are complete and not faded nor worn and there are only minor surface marks from usage on the exterior. Even the die-cast trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Overall condition is close to 7+.
It is interesting to note, this crane car has open crank handles on the rear and side -- which was used for the 6460 crane. It's possible this is an early production version using left over inventory, or possibly switched by someone over the prior 70 years. In either case, it's a nice and clean freight car.
