Up for sale is the harder-to-find brown variation of the 6511 flatcar. The brown version is believe to be a one-year-only option from 1956 and is far less common compared to the red 6511 flatcar. This freight car has the stamped sheet metal mounting plates along with a set of five reproduction pipes. The trucks, side stakes and couplers are clean and free of rust and oxidation plus the stakes appear to be original postwar components. Overall, a beautiful freight car that is not readily available these days.
Also included is the original box. The box does have all interior and exterior flaps including both coupler flaps. The only flap with clear tape on the interior is one end flap, all others are properly attached to the box. Lastly, there are some small puncture holes on the sides of the box and some minor aging on the exterior.
