Here's a gorgeous yellow hopper from the mid-1960's. As most collectors know, Lionel hoppers with dual functional couplers carry the stock number of 6476. However, Lionel never stamped any yellow hopper having dual functional couplers with the number 6476 -- all were stamped 6176!
This hopper is complete with beautiful exterior colors, clean and crisp side lettering plus barely any signs of usage. The trucks and operating couplers are complete and functional and there is nothing broken on the hopper. Also included with the hopper is its original box. The box is a bit squashed on one end and is missing the coupler flap, however the opposite end is complete with all interior and exterior flaps.
