Up for sale is a beautiful Alaska box car. This somewhat hard-to-find freight car has the unusual Type IV body mold with beautiful exterior colors, clean and crisp side lettering and graphics -- with one small exception. One one side (see the 2nd & 4th photo above) the lettering "at your" is faint -- which appears to be due to an issue with the original printing, not from handling or poor storage over the years. Otherwise, the body is a gray mold with heat stamped lettering on a type IV box car. All metal components -- including the frame, door guides, brake wheel, couplers, wheels and axles are all clean of rust and oxidation. There is some very minor box rub on both door handles and a few of the simulated ladders but there are no other rubs on the body. Lastly, the wheels show no evidence of use or track time. Overall, a gorgeous freight car that does not often appear for sale in high grade collector condition.
