Up for sale is a brand new, never used and truly New Old Stock Timken box car from Lionel's final year of postwar production: 1969. This freight car has a Type IV body mold, ribbed interior roof, unpainted body plus bar-end trucks. Externally, the colors are pristine while the side lettering, graphics and decals are crisp, clean and simply in fantastic condition. Additionally, the body is complete with nothing nicked, chipped nor damaged and the frame, door guides and trucks are in great condition and free of rust and oxidation. Overall, a gorgeous box car that would look great on a layout or display case.
Also included with the box car is a solid and clean original postwar Hillside box. This box is solid, square and includes all interior and exterior flaps. Additionally, the external colors are vibrant but oddly, the word Timken is misspelt on each end flap. Overall, a great looking box that is usually not found with the freight car.
