Additional Comments: Up for sale is a rare Rubber Stamped box for the State of Maine Box Car. Lionel printed several rubber stamped boxes for various freight cars in the mid-1950's -- presumably when inventory levels were running low. This Rubber Stamped box includes both end and tuck flaps, all four interior flaps and one of the two coupler flaps. Externally, the colors are nice and vibrant plus there are no numbers printed on any of the sides as the box was intended to be a generic freight car box. Internally, there is tape on several flaps. Overall, a decent box for a somewhat rare item.
