Up for sale is a clean, all-original New York Central gondola from the mid-1950's. This gondola is the more common 1954 variation with the NYC side logo beginning in the second side panel. The exterior colors are clean and the side lettering is crisp and complete. There are no barrels included with the freight car, it is free of rust and oxidation but unfortunately there is a semi-circle stress crack on one side which spans the center two panels -- as seen in the 5th photo above. Overall, a nice and clean gondola that looks much nicer than described and except for the stress crack, the rest of the gondola is in condition 7 or slightly better.
