Here's a clean, complete and undamaged molded red New York Central gondola from the mid-1950's. This freight car has the correct bar-end trucks with tab couplers, six original postwar stained barrels and no corner steps nor brakewheel. The exterior color is vibrant while the side lettering and graphics are nice and clean, but one side was improperly stamped at the factory (see photo 2, left side of the freight car). Additionally, the frame, trucks and couplers are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, there are no chips, cracks nor damage on the body.
Also included with the freight car is its correct original Middle Classic box. The box is solid but missing one coupler flap and one tuck flap. Additionally, there is some minor moisture staining on one end.
