Now available for sale is an absolute gem of a caboose -- a test run 6457 from 1950. This caboose has pristine exterior colors with clean, crisp and extremely white side lettering and graphics! Additionally, the frame, trucks, couplers and ladders all look factory fresh with vibrant metal patina. Additionally, there are no stress cracks, nicks nor chips on the caboose and not a mark on the exterior. Lastly, the wheels have the faintest signs of ever being run on a layout plus the interior light does illuminate. Simply put, you will not find a nicer 6457 caboose compared to this example!
Also included with the caboose is its original Middle Classic box and the correct gold colored factory inspection tag. The inspection tag is clean, complete and shows minimal signs of handling. The box has both end and tuck flaps, all four interior flaps and one of the two coupler flaps. Externally, the box looks great and has the original pricing on one end flap as well as a piece of white tape.
