This 6428 was purchased directly from Madison Hardware dating back to the early 1990's when their inventory was moved from New York to Michigan. The box car is truly brand new, unsold inventory from their location in Michigan.
Externally, the colors are stunning, truly gorgeous with perfect side lettering and graphics. There are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the freight car, the AAR trucks are complete and functional plus the metal door guides, frame and trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, the original box is complete with all internal and external flaps, includes the original front cellophane front panel and the correct 6428 stamping on each end flap!
