Now available for sale is a beautiful New York Central bi-level stock car and its original box from the mid-1950's. This prototypical looking freight car has stunning exterior colors along with clean, crisp and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, all metal components are free of rust and oxidation, although there is some surface issues with the base of the frame -- almost appearing as though the frame was not properly prepped or treated at the factory prior to final production. Lastly, the body is complete, free of nicks, chips and cracks and the freight car has the smaller Built By Lionel lettering by the lower side doors.
Also included with the stock car is a nice and clean original Middle Classic box. The box is complete with all interior and exterior flaps as well as both coupler flaps. The only two apologies regarding the box is a 2+" tear by one end flap and the seam has become unglued.
