Now available for sale is the very early production variation of the 6257 caboose painted a true red with dual couplers and the Early Classic, Three Cities box. This particular caboose is in near-new condition with absolutely gorgeous exterior colors and flawless SP side lettering and graphics. The caboose has staple-end trucks as well as the correct 1948 style base plate and couplers plus dual brakewheels! Lastly, there are no chips, nicks nor blemishes on the body and barely any signs of usage -- truly a gorgeous caboose that will stand out in any collection.
Also included is the somewhat rare Three Cities original box -- which is solid and is free of writing, stains and blemishes. The box does include both end and tuck flaps, three of the four interior flaps plus both coupler flaps are present!
