Now available for sale is the one-year-only 6257 caboose with the Type III lettering. This gorgeous, near-new caboose was only available for sale in 1956 and is rather hard to find in high collectable condition -- especially with its original box.
This caboose has the 6257 number printed to the right on each side of the caboose. Externally the caboose is flawless, the side lettering and graphics are crisp and the metal frame, bar-end trucks and tab couplers are in beautiful condition. There are no chips, nicks nor blemishes on the body and barely any signs of usage. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on the frame, trucks nor end railings.
Also included with the caboose is a complete and solid original Late Classic box. The box has clean exterior colors, both end and tuck flaps as well as all four interior flaps and the single coupler flap. Additionally, the box is free of writing, staining and tape.
