Up for sale is a gorgeous, all-original 6250 Seaboard diesel switcher from 1954. This switcher is the variation with the rubber stamped lettering and three stanchions securing the hand railing to the cab. The locomotive has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and it runs like a champ! There is no damage to the body nor frame, all functionality works just as designed by Lionel 70+ years ago and the entire unit is free of rust and oxidation. Additionally the cab has vibrant colors, pristine lettering and decals and is free of nicks, chips and cracks.
Also included with this road switcher is its original box, insert, inspection tag and instructions. The Middle Classic box is solid, has all flaps at one end but the opposite end has flaps from a modern era box. The original insert is complete, solid and free of tears plus the original instructions -- dated March 1954 -- are clean and complete. Lastly, the original inspection tag is the correct blue color for 1954.
