Here's a beautiful, all-original 623 Santa Fe diesel switcher -- which is the harder-to-find variation having ten stanchions securing the hand railing to the cab. The locomotive has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and runs nice and smooth. There is no damage to the body nor frame, all functionality works just as designed by Lionel and the entire unit is free of rust and oxidation. Externally, the colors are vibrant, the side lettering and decals look great and the only blemish is one of the smaller front GM decals is partly missing. Otherwise, this diesel would look equally great on a layout or display case.
Also included with this road switcher is its original box, insert and instructions. The Middle Classic box is solid, has all internal and external flaps and no tape on the interior of any flap. The original insert is complete, solid and free of tears. Also included are clean and complete original instructions and dated 1953.
