Up for sale is the early -- and very limited -- production variation of the Gang Car with the horn located in the center of the simulated motor. This variation was only manufactured for a portion of 1954 and quickly converted to having the horn offset from the center -- which remained the norm for the the remainder of its production run. This particular unit is extremely clean, includes three original postwar figures and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and runs perfectly -- plus it is free of rust and oxidation. As for the apologies on the unit, they include; one of the three tiny simulated control panel levers is broken off and missing, plus there are two tiny chips in the top brushplate cover (along the edge as seen in photo 5).
Regarding the box, it does have the correct Middle Classic version as well as the original insert and instructions. Unfortunately, mice have nibbled away a significant portion of one end -- as seen in the 9th photo above.
