Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, New Old Stock # 3656 operating cattle car from 1953 or 1954!
This cattle car was recently purchased from the son of the original owner in New Jersey. The freight car was unboxed and photos taken immediately without any cleaning or work done to the item. As you'll see in the photos, the original pink # 511 inspection tag was still located within the coupler / truck location on one end (see the 5th, 6th & 8th photo) for a closer picture of how the car has been stored for the past 70 years!
For this cattle car, the exterior colors and side lettering and graphics look like the car was manufactured yeaterday -- they are stunning! Additionally, the frame, trucks and couplers are spotless plus all wheels are in Mint condition and show no evidence of ever being on the track. Also included is the original box that is as solid as a brick. All internal and external flaps are present and free of tears and tape. Externally, the colors of the box are gorgeous.
