Up for sale is a beautiful Lionel cattle car from the mid-1950's. However, all of the original internal components have been removed and the freight car is now a frame with an original postwar shell. The body of the cattle car has not been modified nor altered and is in great condition with nothing broken, nicked, chipped nor cracked. Additionally the frame, door guides and trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation plus all four corner metal steps are still attached to the frame.
If you're looking for a nice and clean non-operating freight car, this is a great option. Additionally, if you're in need of an original postwar shell for the 3656 cattle car, you can easily use this shell on an operating postwar cattle car as all of the side doors do open properly and nothing has been glued in place nor customized -- the shell is 100% original & complete.
