Up for sale is a nice and clean, original gray barrel car that has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and works great. The exterior color is vibrant and the side lettering is complete and not faded nor worn -- plus it is the slightly harder-to-find royal blue lettering. Included with this operating freight car are many of the original extras as sold by Lionel including; a set of six original postwar barrels, original long # 160 dump bin (complete and undamaged, but there is some very minor green layout paint on the rear as seen in the first photo above), original 96C controller, OTC track activator plus original instructions dated 1954. If you're looking to add a barrel car to your freight train, this could be a great option for you.
Lastly, the original box is solid, has all interior and exterior flaps but there is clear tape on the interior of most flaps. Unfortunately the original insert is missing.
